BACOLOD City – Crossing the road turned fatal for a woman in Barangay Sum-ag on June 12.
The 54-year-old Lonie Soledad of Barangay Mansilingan died after a motorcycle hit her around 1:35 p.m. that day, a police report showed.
Police Station 9 identified the motorcycle driver as Remegio Mendoza Jr. He was navigating Araneta Street when the crash happened.
Soledad was rushed to the Corazon Locsin Montelibano Memorial Regional Hospital where the attending physician pronounced her “dead on arrival.”
Mendoza, meanwhile, surrendered to the police after the incident./PN
