ILOILO – A motorcycle rider died in a vehicular incident in Brgy. Bolong Este, Santa Barbara, Iloilo, around 8:45 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 4.
The victim, identified as 28-year-old John-John Agustin, a resident of Brgy. Manaulan, Lambunao town, sustained head injuries.
He was rushed to the Western Visayas Sanitarium but was declared dead-on-arrival by the attending physician.
Police investigation revealed that Agustin was on his way to Pavia town when he accidentally hit the gutter and was hurled from his motorcycle towards the center island.
According to Police Staff Sergeant Francis Guaro, investigator of Sta. Barbara Police Station, the victim had a helmet but was not wearing it, the reason for his fatal head injuries./PN
