SAN JOSE, Antique – In a freak road accident in Barangay Maybato Sur here, a sedan hit the rear of a hatchback, which in turn hit the motorcycle in front of it.
The motorcycle rider, 57-year-old Edwin Bautista of the same barangay, died.
He breathed his last while undergoing treatment at the Angel Salazar Memorial General Hospital due to severe injuries on Monday, Dec. 21, at around 5:45 p.m.
The Mitsubishi Mirage hatchback was being driven by 67-year-old Edna Domingo of Barangay Poblacion, Tibiao, Antique.
The driver of the Mitsubishi Lancer sedan, on the other hand, was 56-year-old Attila Elizalde of Barangay 8 here.
Domingo and Elizalde were both taken to the San Jose police station for questioning.
Both their vehicles were damaged, too./PN
