ILOILO City – Unidentified motorcycle-riding gunmen shot a laborer in Barangay Sambag, Jaro district on Wednesday.
The 24-year-old resident Rex Gustilo was hit on the foot, a police report showed.
He was taken to the West Visayas State University Medical Center, also in Jaro.
Gustilo was walking in the village at around 11 a.m. when one of the suspects disembarked from the motorcycle and fired at him.
The gunmen sped away after the incident, stated the police report.
Investigators have yet to identify the suspects and determine the motive as of this writing./PN
