ILOILO – A speeding motorcycle hit a barangay tanod crossing the street in Barangay Pakiad, Oton town on Saturday night, Sept. 30.
Leo Degario, 62, sustained a wound to his right leg, according to Police Staff Sergeant Rolly Sorongon.
Motorcycle driver James Arvin Espin, 22, of Barangay 2, Poblacion, Igbaras, Iloilo sustained injuries, too.
Sorongon said Espin was under the influence of alcohol.
Degario was treated at the Western Visayas Medical Center in Iloilo City, while Espin was brought to the Guimbal District Hospital in Guimbal town./PN
