ILOILO City – A motorcycle technician had been stabbed on Golgota Street, Janiuay, Iloilo. He died.
Resident Mark Daniel Galindo had a stab wound on the chest, a police report showed.
Police identified the suspect as Rodney Alegroso, a mall employee from the same barangay.
The stabbing happened at around 10 p.m. on Sunday.
Alegroso and Reggie Lezada had an argument after a drinking binge at a store.
To prevent the argument from further escalating, Lezada and Galindo left on board a motorcycle.
But Alegroso waylaid them and stabbed Galindo, who was driving the motorcycle, police said, citing witnesses.
Alegroso was detained at the Janiuay police station. He faces a murder charge./PN
