ROXAS City – A suspected motorcycle thief was arrested in Barangay Tiza here.
The 21-year-old Ricky Matutis was a native of San Jose, Occidental Mindoro, but temporarily residing in this city.
Matutis was caught in a hot pursuit operation of the Roxas City Police Station.
The police received a complaint from 21-year-old Gevie Sabanal that his parked motorcycle in Barangay Quinabcaban in Dao town went missing.
Matutis was previously imprisoned in Occidental Mindoro in January 2022 also for a motorcycle theft case, police said.
He was charged with violation of Republic Act No. 10883, or the New Anti-Carnapping Act of 2016./PN
