ILOILO City – A woman died while two others were injured in a vehicular crash on Martelino-Regalado streets, Barangay Poblacion, Kalibo, Aklan.
The 30-year-old Ma. Joan Macario of Barangay Tamalagon, Tangalan was declared “dead on arrival” at St. Gabriel Hospital.
Harby Castillon of Barangay Estancia and Cherry Pie Masula were injured. They were taken to the Kalibo District Hospital.
Investigation showed the motorcycle was negotiating Regalado Street toward Mabini Street around 11:05 p.m. on Thursday when it was hit by an Isuzu Elf truck.
Truck driver Leomer Nemis, 27, of Barangay Damayan, Sapian, Capiz was detained in the Kalibo police station./PN
