ILOILO City – For illegal possession of firearm, a motorist was arrested in a police checkpoint in Barangay Cabugao, Calinog, Iloilo yesterday.
Police identified the suspect as Janilo Pedrogosa, 41, of the town’s Barangay Toyungan.
An unlicensed .45-caliber pistol was recovered from his possession around 10 a.m.
The suspect was detained in the lockup cell of the Calinog police station. Charges for violation of Republic Act 10591, or the Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act will be filed against him./PN
