BACOLOD City – Former city administrator Rolando Villamor denied that the construction of an access road in Purok 9, Barangay Minoyan, Murcia, Negros Occidental is illegal.
Villamor stressed that he owns the property where the road is being built.
The lawyer is having a road built on a property covered by the Comprehensive Agrarian Reform Program, Valentine Jamelo reported to Task Force Crusaders.
Villamor denied this and said he legally obtained the property from Maricon Granada.
The lawyer said he paid Granada P6,000 at the Minoyan barangay hall. He has supporting documents, he said.
Villamor owns some 50 hectares covering areas in Minoyan and Bago City.
The 7-meter access road he was having built allegedly encroached Jamelo’s property.
Task Force Crusaders national deputy commander John Chiong wrote Agrarian Reform secretary Rafael Mariano about the matter.
Along with the letter were documents and photos showing the construction work, said Chiong./PN
