BACOLOD City – A lawyer was accused of illegally constructing a road in Purok 9, Barangay Minoyan, Murcia, Negros Occidental.
Atty. Rolando Villamor, a resident of this city, was having a road built on a property covered by the Comprehensive Agrarian Reform Program (CARP), Valentine Jamelo reported to Task Force Crusaders.
National Deputy Commander John Chiong of Task Force Crusaders wrote Agrarian Reform secretary Rafael Mariano about this on March 16 yet.
The letter included documents and photos of the alleged construction work, said Chiong.
Chiong hopes Mariano will immediately investigate the complaint.
On Feb. 15, a caretaker of Jamelo’s lot, Jo-ann Malongayon, told Murcia police station that Villamor’s alleged excavation overlapped on the property of Jamelo.
Panay News tried to reach Villamor for comment, but the lawyer deferred answering but asked to be interviewed at his law office today./PN
