BACOLOD City – A murder suspect and a rape suspect were arrested in Silay City and Murcia town, respectively, in Negros Occidental.
The 36-year-old Rojisus “Tongtong” De La Cruz was caught in his house in Barangay Guinhalaran, Silay City on Monday.
Judge Reynaldo Alon of the Regional Trial Court (RTC) Branch 40 (Silay City) issued the warrant of arrest for murder against him on Dec. 18, 2007 yet. The court recommended no bail bond for his temporary liberty.
In Murcia, police arrested Marjun Abing, 29, in Barangay Santa Rosa.
Judge Edgar Tupas of the RTC Branch 46 (Bacolod City) issued the arrest warrant for rape against Abing just this April 10./PN
