KALIBO, Aklan — A murder suspect in Tangalan town had no chance to escape when policemen served him his arrest warrant.

Joven Toisa, 38, of Barangay Tagas, Tangalan, sustained a fractured leg caused by a motorcycle accident last month.

Tumawid pa kami ng ilog sa Tangalan at binuhat ang suspect. May fracture ang hita niya,” said Senior Inspector John Paul Tovera, Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) provincial chief.

Toisa is now in the custody of the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology here.

CIDG, Tangalan police station and Provincial Intelligence Branch operatives served the arrest warrant at about 10:30 a.m. on Friday.

Judge Nelson Bartolome of the Regional Trial Court Branch 8 here issued the warrant on Sept. 10. He recommended no bail for Toisa. (Aklan Forum Journal/PN)
