BACOLOD City – A man charged with murder was arrested in Sitio Umas, Barangay Camindangan, Sipalay City, Negros Occidental.
Armed with a warrant of arrest, police caught Rex Vargas, 41, in his house around 11:20 a.m. on June 24.
He had been hiding for seven years, police said.
Judge Rosario Esther Orda-Caise of the 6th Judicial Region, Regional Trial Court, Branch 61 (Kabankalan City, Negros Occidental) issued the arrest warrant on July 2, 2014 yet.
No bail bond was recommended for the temporary liberty of the suspect, who was detained at the Sipalay City police station./PN
