BACOLOD City – Charged with murder, a man was arrested in Sitio Rayu, Barangay Suba, Calatrava, Negros Occidental.
The 29-year-old resident Edrom Valencia was nabbed around 10 p.m. on Jan. 9 on the strength of an arrest warrant issued by Judge Amy Alabado-Avellano of the Regional Trial Court Branch 57 in San Carlos City, Negros Occidental.
The court issued the warrant on Dec. 19, 2018 in relation to Criminal Case No. RTC-18-7164 that Valencia faces.
Upon his arrest, police also confiscated from Valencia an improvised .45-caliber pistol loaded with three live bullets.
The weapon was confiscated after Valencia failed to present its license.
Joint personnel from the Calatrava police station, San Carlos City police station, Provincial Intelligence Unit, and the 605th Mobile Force Company staged the arrest.
Valencia was detained in the lockup cell of the Calatrava police station.
No bail bond was recommended for his temporary liberty./PN
