BACOLOD City — The police campaign against wanted persons netted two murder suspects in Cadiz and Victorias cities this week.
The suspects were identified as Erwin Espares, 57, of Purok San Pedro, Barangay Zone 4, Cadiz City and Agustin Solon, 48, of Sitio Tabunan, Barangay San Isidro, EB Magalona town.
Senior Inspector Ronaldo Jumayao, Cadiz police deputy chief, said their joint operation with the La Carlota City police arrested Espares from his house in Cadiz City around 2:35 p.m. on Monday.
Espares has two murder charges in La Carlota City.
Judge Francisco Rodriguez of the Regional Trial Court (RTC) Branch 63 issued the arrest warrants for Espares.
In Victorias City, Superintendent Santiago Rapiz said they arrested Solon at Bangga Daan Banwa on Tuesday.
Rapiz said Judge Felipe Banzon of the RTC Branch 69 in Silay City issued the arrest warrant for Solon.
The court denied the suspects to post bail./PN
