KALIBO, Aklan – Sixteen finalists in the 2019 Mutya it Kalibo Ati-Atihan pageant will have their talent competition at 7 p.m. on Saturday at the Pastrana Park.
Pageant director Albert Menez said the candidates will try to wow the crowd with their talents in dancing and singing, and other performing arts.
The candidates include Mary Anne Lopez, Sofia Claire Inocentes, Gina May Curises, Pearly Ann Libuton, Faye Beltran, Shenna Ellica Retiro, Prince Shemiah Filomeno, and Aubrey Denielle Sy.
Others candidates are Jamella Jane Remaneses, Yana Nieto, Philiana Hedy Zante, Cuty Ann Guzman, Francesca Beatriz Abalajon, Nicole Angela Crescini, Jamaica Venturillo, and Shenna Adrien Pador.
The winner on Saturday will get the minor award Best in Talent, a trophy and a cash prize.
The pageant was scheduled for Jan. 11 at the Gov. Augusto B. Legaspi Sports and Cultural Center.
The young ladies will be trimmed down to 10 finalists after the preliminary competitions in Festival Costume, Production Number, Evening Gown, and Swimwear.
After the top 10, the aspirants will be further trimmed down to the top five.
A panel of 13 judges will determine the pageant winners.
Pageant gowns made by top local and international fashion designers will also be showcased during the pageant night. (With Aklan Forum Journal/PN)
