AWARD-WINNING actress Nadine Lustre is back with a brand new series “Roadkillers.”
In the less than one-minute teaser, Lustre’s character seems to be involved in a crime, with the voiceover saying: “Minsan ‘pag nagkagipitan, may nagagawa kang masama para sa mga taong mahal mo.”
“Roadkillers” is directed by Rae Red and will be available on Prime Video on Nov. 30.
Lustre’s last series was the ABS-CBN teleserye “Till I Met You” with her former boyfriend James Reid back in 2016.
She last appeared in the horror movie “Deleter” which won for her the best actress prize at the 2022 Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF)
The horror movie bagged the Best Scare Award at the Grimmfest 2023 in the United Kingdom.
“Always a hotly contested category as jurors debate what precisely constitutes a ‘scare’ and whether to select a traditional ‘jump scare’ or something more… intangible,” Grimmerfest said on their website.
“In the case of DELETER, what impressed and stayed with the jury, rather than any one moment, was the eerie, unsettling mood and atmosphere of the film as a whole.”
“Deleter” was also last year’s Best Picture winner at the 2022 MMFF.
According to its IMDB page, the movie follows the story of “an online content moderator who deletes a suicide video made by her co-worker. But the otherwise desensitized woman cannot escape from either her own troubled past or from a mysterious vengeful presence.” (ABS-CBN News/PUSH)
