“NEVER Not Love You” bagged two awards from the Young Critics Circle’s (YCC) Film Desk for 2018 on March 17.
Lead actress Nadine Lustre won the Best Performance in a Movie award, while the film received Best Sound and Aural Orchestration.
The YCC picked the 25-year old actress over Ina Raymundo and Pokwang, who were both nominated for their performances in “Kuya Wes” and “Oda Sa Wala” respectively.
Upon, hearing the news, director Antoinette Jadaone thanked the organization on Twitter.
YCC is an organization started in 1990 and is composed of members from the Philippine academe.
Aside from “Never Not Love You,” YCC also named Cinema One Original film “Mamu: And a Mother Too” by Rod Singh, “Ang Pangarap Kong Holdap” by Marius Talampas, and “Mamang” by Denise O’Hara, as the three Best First Feature Films. (Push)
