ANTIQUE – Good news to the residents of Antique, starting March 27, Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) to Antique will have three flights per week, from two flights per week, announced by Governor Rhodora Cadiao on her Facebook page.
The increase of flights per week is in anticipation of the influx of Antiqueños who wanted to return or come home for the upcoming Holy week season especially as the requirements for inbound travel have dropped and lowering the province coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) alert level to Alert Level 2.
“Nami gid ja nga balita para sa aton mga kasimanwa nga gusto mag-uli sa probinsya kadya nga Holy Week, mas rako ang ma-accommodate nga mga Antiqueños,” said Gov. Cadiao
She also mentioned “Amo ja pamatuod nga bisan sa tunga kita ka pandemya, padayon man sagihapon ang pagsarig kang mga investors kag mga businesses sa aton pagdumara rudya sa aton pinalangga nga probinsya.”
The three flights per week will take effect from March 27 onwards and will take place every Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday.
It is known that Philippine Airlines is the only one that operates in Antique and the airline uses a turbo propeller that can accommodate up to 60 passengers./PN
