Nancy ‘willing to pose nude’

MANILA – In light of criticisms she drew for wearing a gown that resembled a “parachute,” Sen. Nancy Binay joked that she is interested in posing nude for a men’s magazine.

“Why not? Magpo-pose ako. Walang designer. Walang suot. Wala na nga akong suot, baka maba-bash pa ako ha,” she yesterday told select reporters in jest.

The opposition senator drew flak, mostly on social media, for wearing a “piña blouse with cut work embroidery” and a multicolored “wide-striped touf skirt” during the opening of Congress’ second regular session on Monday.

During the State of the Nation Address (Sona) in the afternoon, she changed to a “pure silk chiffon terno adorned with linear embroidery” and a “draped skirt.”

Posing nude for “FHM Philippines” might give her a chance to walk on the runway at the FHM annual fashion event, Binay said, laughing.

The senator from Makati City said she has to prepare for the “fashion shoot” because she does not want her online bashers to notice her bilbil (flab).

She admitted that she indeed looked like a “parachute” or a “Pokemon” in her dress.

Hindi talaga flattering ang hitsura. Actually, may kasalanan din ako. Ang taas kasi dapat, shorter. Kaso hindi ko hinatak ang sa likod, may tali ’yun,” Binay said.

She said her daughter also noticed that she looked “big” at this year’s Sona.

Binay’s gowns were designed by Manila-based Randy Ortiz.

The legislator did not disclose how much she spent for the gowns.

Hindi pa napag-usapan ang presyo. Matagal na ako kay Randy (Ortiz). Minsan nakakalimutan na n’ya,” she said./PN
