NATHALIE Hart is four months pregnant with her first child and is set to wed later this year, the actress has announced.
Hart, 26, made the candid revelation during a huddle with reporters, while she was on the topic of her relationship with her Indian boyfriend.
The “Sin Island” star and her partner, a real estate businessman, are planning to wed in December in Sydney. She also intends to give birth in the Australian city, Hart said, as seen in a video uploaded by entertainment editor Roldan Castro.
The baby is a girl, she revealed.
“Umiyak ako, kasi it’s not funny,” she said, recalling the time she first found out about her pregnancy. “Iba ‘yung may tinutulungan kang pamilya… My God, paano ‘to? Wala pa akong masyadong naipuna, napundar.”
She added: “In a way, manghihinayang ka rin kung ano na ‘yung meron ka ngayon, ‘yung puwede mo pa makuha. Pero ngayon, I cannot think like that, kasi siyempre kung negative ka, negative din ‘yung pregnancy ko. I have to be positive.”
Her turn as a Kapamilya early this year revitalized Hart’s career, starting with the sexy film “Sin Island.” She then joined the ABS-CBN teleserye “The Blood Sisters,” and is a cast member of the Star Cinema film “Kusina Kings.”
She is also one of the stars the upcoming sexy comedy flick “Abay Babes.”
Despite her thriving career, Hart emphasized that it never crossed her mind to give up her pregnancy.
“Naisip ko, ‘Ready na ba ako?’ But I never thought, ‘Ay, magpapalaglag ako, dahil I’m going to save my career.’ No way! Hindi ko iisipin ‘yon. Mas gusto kong mawalan ako ng career, at ituloy ko na lang ‘to, kaysa naman one day, I will regret ‘yung ginawa ko,” she said.
When reporters pointed out that many actresses have managed to successfully return to showbiz after giving birth, Hart said, with confidence, that she intends to do the same.
Noting she still has nine more films under her contract, she said, “Babalik pa ako.” (ABS-CBN News)
