AKLAN – The Philippine Statistics Authority is currently conducting national ID registration for children aged one to four years old in the province of Aklan.
Engr. Antonet B. Catubuan, Chief Statistical Specialist, said the registration started on February 6 and is being rolled out at PSA-Aklan’s Fixed Registration Center and various municipalities in the province through mobile mode.
“We have deployed hired registration personnel to conduct this activity in schools and different daycare centers so that parents or guardians could easily access our service,” Catubuan said.
As of March 10, a total of 3,535 kids aged one to four have been registered with PhilSys in Aklan.
Parents who wish to register their children for a national ID should bring their PhilID or ePhilID along with the child’s birth certificate during registration.
Meanwhile, an authorization letter from the child’s parent and a valid ID of the parent will be required, in addition to those mentioned above, for guardians who will accompany the kids.
After registration, children will be issued an ePhilID, and their PhilSys Number (PSN) will be linked to the PSN of the parent or guardian.
The demographic information that will be collected during registration includes sex, date of birth, place of birth, blood type, address, nationality, mobile number, and a front-facing photo. (PSA-Aklan)/PN
