ILOILO City – Councilor Plaridel Nava is the only Sangguniang Panlungsod (SP) member here with no committee chairmanship.
During a recent regular session, the SP committee chairmanships were divided among the councilors.
The city council has 12 elected councilors and two ex-officio members (the Liga ng mga Barangay president and Sangguniang Kabataan Federation president).
Of the 12 elected councilors, 10 belong to Uswag Team headed by Mayor Jerry Treñas or ran under one political party, while Nava and Councilor Candice Tupas ran under other different political parties.
Tupas, however, has been vocal about her support to Treñas.
The approved assignments, committees and their respective chairpersons are the following:
