BACOLOD City – The Naval Forces Central (Navforcen) will conduct an amphibious raid capability demonstration and civil military operation at Poblacion Beach in Sipalay City, Negros Occidental from June 8 to 10.
Lieutenant Nomer Bilbao, Lieutenant Hassam Liktayo and Lieutenant Oscar Mendoza of the Navforcen met with Negros Occidental Provincial Board members Salvador Escalante Jr. and Alain Gatuslao and Negros Occidental Acting Provincial Administrator Lucille Gelvolea at the capital last Thursday.
The Navforcen officers presented an overview of the conduct of the demo operations, which will be executed by members of the Naval Reserve Center in Western Visayas, particularly one company from the 81st Marine Battalion reservists.
There will also be a medical and dental missions, circumcision, photo static display, and audio-visual presentation at the Sipalay City gymnasium, and mangrove planting and coastal cleanup activities.
The provincial government will provide additional medicines and dental supplies.
Health professionals from the province will help in the medical and dental missions./PN
