THE National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) Anti-Fraud Division did not include Kapamilya host and actor Luis Manzano on the list of people whom they filed a fraud case against earlier this week. The government agency shared in a statement why they excluded the actor-host in the syndicated estafa complaint they filed at the Taguig Prosecutor’s Office.

Luis was a former co-owner and endorser of the said company back in 2019 and 2020.

In their official statement released by ABS-CBN News, the NBI stated that Luis had already resigned from the company prior to the victims investing money in the company.

“Notably, LUIS MANZANO, was reflected as incorporator, Chairman/CEO of FLEX FUEL only for the years 2019 and 2020, but his name was no longer reflected as such in subsequent years on the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) documents, owing to his resignation,” the statement read.

“Hence, for this set of complainants, MANZANO was no longer connected with the company when the solicitation and receipt of investments were made,” the statement added.

Meanwhile, the NBI confirmed they are still investigating the complaint made by the Kapamilya actor-host against Flex Fuel as he invested P66 million in the company.

Luis previously denied his involvement in the case and asserted he never took part in the business aspect of the company. He added how the important matters of Flex Fuel were never shared to him by Bong Medel.

“I never took part in the management of the business. Bong conducted the business in such a way that operational matters were kept away from me,” he previously shared. (PUSH)
