BACOLOD City – Bacolod Tay Tung High School Thunderbolts bagged its third straight victory in the Chooks-to-Go SM-National Basketball Training Center (NBTC) Tournament-Bacolod leg on Saturday at the Brgy. Sum-ag Gymnasium.
The Thunderbolts stunned the hometown team and the crowd as they exhibited a 90-55 victory over Sum-ag National High School Golden Stags to remain unstoppable in Group B.
Thunderbolts head coach Ronald “Yong” Despi said that the victory was a great bounce back after their come-from-behind 72-70 victory over Living Stones International School last Sunday.
“I reminded the players before the game that we cannot be complacent, kasi yung opponent namin is home team. Good thing the players responded well with a dominant win,” Despi said.
In the other game, Colegio de San Nicolas de Tolentino-Recoletos notched its second victory in as many matches following an 81-76 win over the University of St. La Salle-Bacolod./PN
