MANILA – Deo Cuajao converted a go-ahead triple as Colegio de San Juan Knights pulled off a 101-98 double overtime win against San Sebastian College Golden Stags in the NCAA Season 100 men’s basketball on Tuesday at the Filoil EcoOil Centre in San Juan.

With both teams knotted at 98-apiece with under a minute left in the second extension, Cuajao knocked down a three-pointer to give the Knights a 101-98 lead with 16 seconds left.

Cuajao finished with 34 points, including seven triples, while Johnsherick Estrada added 30 markers in his return from a one-game suspension to lead the Knights to a 7-6 record.

“If we want to win, I know I have to deliver. I’m just glad that most of my shots went in,” Cuajao said in a post-game interview. “I have to be focused and confident in taking every shot.”

Rafael Are top-scored for the Golden Stags with 27 points before fouling out early in the second overtime, while Felebrico added 19 points as they dropped to a 3-10 win-loss record.

Abiera knocked down back-to-back three-pointers to start the fourth quarter to take a 59-55 advantage before Jaedan Ongotan connected two baskets to widen the Chiefs’ lead to 64-57.

The Altas had the chance to slice the deficit but they failed to secure the rebound before EJ Geronimo converted two free throws for the Chiefs with under a minute left to seal the win.
