 ILOILO City – A Municipal Trial Court (MTC) in the National Capital Region ordered the arrest of a woman in Barangay Cabugao, San Enrique, Iloilo.

Jonalyn Alvarez, 38, was charged with issuing a check without sufficient fund or violation of Batas Pambansa 22.

Alvarez was served with an arrest warrant on Monday around 8 p.m. She was taken to the San Enrique police station.

Judge Christian Emmanuel Pimentel issued the arrest warrant. He also set the bail bond at P4,000.

It was unclear as of this writing if Alvarez was able to secure her temporary liberty./PN
