ILOILO – Sixty-five grams of suspected shabu valued at around P442,000 were seized from a live-in couple in a drug buy-bust operation in Barangay Jibao-an, Pavia town.
Sandro “Doge” Jor, 52, was a resident of South Baluarte, Molo, Iloilo City while his partner, Minda Manreal, 57, was a native of Purok Mangga, Tubod Highway, Marawi City. The couple was temporarily residing in Barangay Jibao-an.
The operation was carried out by the officers of the Pavia police station around 6:52 a.m. yesterday.
A police poseur buyer bought from Jor a sachet of suspected shabu for P15,000.
The suspect yielded 13 more plastic sachets of suspected shabu, police said.
Police Major Dadje Delima, chief of the Pavia police station, said Jor got his supply of illegal drugs from Barangay Bakhaw, Mandurriao district.
“Bale ang background sang aton sini nga subject person nga si Sandro Jor way back 2021 na-release (from jail) ini siya sa amo man nga kaso (illegal drugs) kag gin-monitor naton paagi sa Regional Drug Enforcement Unit… Nahibaluan naton nga amo man ni siya ang naga-supply sang ilegal nga droga sa area,” said Delima.
Jor and Manreal are currently in the custody of the Pavia police station and will be facing charges for violation of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002./PN
