NEARSOL wins Circle of Excellence Award

NEARSOL Philippines won the Circle of Excellence Award at the recently concluded Asia CEO Awards 2022 last October 11, 2022 at the Manila Marriott Hotel Grand Ballroom.

The Asia CEO Awards is the largest business awards event in the Philippines and the largest event of its kind in the Asia Pacific region. Its purpose is to promote the Philippines as the premier business destination for global enterprises. For over a decade, the Asia CEO Awards has been bringing business leaders from diverse industries to this annual event for strategic exchange, valuable exposure, and recognition of achievements. The months leading to the culminating evening are filled with business forums and summits held in the Philippines’ major business hubs – Manila, Cebu, Davao, Clark, and Iloilo.

Nominees for this 2022 numbered 400 with categories ranging from Service Excellence Company of the Year, CSR Company of the Year, Top Employer of the Year, Executive Leadership Team of the Year, and Sustainability Company of the Year, among several others.

In addition to the categories, what nominee-companies look forward to is inclusion in the Circle of Excellence – an exclusive group chosen from across the categories.

For 2022, NEARSOL is honored to announce its inclusion in the Circle of Excellence Award for the Executive Leadership Team of the Year category. Winners of this award include giants such as Air Asia, Infosys and Megaworld Corporation.

Accepting this award for NEARSOL were Victor Pereda, CEO of NEARSOL and the Leadership Team of NEARSOL Philippines.

This year’s theme centered on “impact”. 

In an interview with Rico Hizon’s CNN, PwC CEO and Asia CEO Awards 2022 judge Alex Cabrera emphasized that they are looking for organizations that have made an impact on their community. What was their impact during the pandemic? How were they able to adjust and pivot their business amid the challenges? In the past eight months, companies had to contend with the pandemic’s unique challenges together with rising prices and the falling peso. How did the organization fare? The awardees must have performed well. Did they grow and scale their business? How did they take care of their employees? What are their campaigns and projects toward sustainability?

Ms. Darlene Berberabe, former Pag-IBIG Fund CEO and Asia CEO Award judge, said it perfectly in her speech at the event – the fact that at least a thousand were in attendance at the Marriot Hotel says that this event isn’t just fun and glamor. It means that there is employment for the Filipino people.  

Overall, the evening was festive and made dazzling by the presence of movers and shakers.  Big companies as well as small and medium-sized enterprises were recognized together with entrepreneurs and individuals. The survival of our economy rests on the shoulders of these pillars.
