BACOLOD City – The provincial government awarded several farmers and fisherfolk in recognition for their exemplary contributions to their community.
The event dubbed as “Pasidungog sa Panguma, Pangisda kag Pangkasapatan” gives incentives to the outstanding farmers and fisherfolk from the different cities and municipalities in Negros Occidental.
“Our farmers and fisherfolk are the real heroes of today because they are the one producing our food,” said provincial governor Alfredo Marañon Jr. in his speech during the 26th Panaad sa Negros Festival on April 13.
The event led by the Office of the Provincial Agriculturist also recognized several local government units and local chief executives to their contributions in agriculture sector./PN
