BACOLOD City – Governor-elect Eugenio Jose “Bong” Lacson has named his seven-man transition team to work with the outgoing administration for a smooth transfer of leadership in Negros Occidental’s provincial government.
Lacson appointed incoming provincial legal ffficer lawyer Rayfrando Diaz as chairman of his transition team based on a letter addressed to outgoing Gov. Alfredo Marañon Jr.
The team also consisted of Jose Jonathan Ealdama, Kirk Andrew Magnabe, Julie Ann Bedrio, Pacifico Maghari III, Ismael Penado, and Jonathan Lobaton.
The governor’s transition team is tasked to conduct an inventory of local government unit (LGU) properties. The members will also secure all LGUs’ official documents and records.
Lacson enjoined the outgoing governor’s local governance transition team to accomplish their respective tasks and coordinate with his team for the proper turnover of documents, records and information.
The newly elected governor has three more sessions left as the presiding officer of the Provincial Board.
On June 26, his administration will turn over the board leadership to vice governor-elect Jeffrey Ferrer. (With a report form PNA/PN)
