BACOLOD City – A former member of the Communist Terrorist Group (CTG) has voluntarily surrendered to authorities in Don Salvador Benedicto, Negros Occidental.
Alias “Junjun,” a 44-year-old resident of Barangay Quezon, San Carlos City, Negros Occidental, turned over a .38 revolver with one round of ammunition, a blasting cap, and one 40 mm grenade at 2:48 p.m. on Dec. 21.
All the surrendered items are under the custody of the 2nd Mobile Patrol, 1st Negros Occidental Provincial Mobile Force Company for proper disposition.
Concerned government agencies and the local government unit are now processing all possible benefits he would receive, including those under the Enhanced Comprehensive Local Integration Program and the Project: Pag-ulikid Initiative./PN
