BACOLOD City – The number of registered voters in Negros Occidental has decreased from 2,025,078 to 2,009,564, data from the Commission on Elections (Comelec) showed, following the completion of voter registration from February 12 to September 30, 2024, for the upcoming May 12, 2025 midterm elections.
This updated voter tally reflects the comparison between the number of registered voters recorded during the barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan elections on October 30, 2023, and those registered for the forthcoming midterm polls.
The statistics cover Negros Occidental’s six congressional districts, as well as the Lone District of Bacolod City.
The province has a total of 2,484 clustered precincts and 747 voting centers.
Here’s the breakdown of registered voters per district:
* First District – 258,527
* Second District – 212,939
* Third District – 318,496
* Fourth District – 248,782
* Fifth District – 302,714
* Sixth District – 311,292
* Lone District of Bacolod City – 356,814
Negros Occidental, excluding Bacolod City, consists of 19 municipalities and 13 cities.
As a highly urbanized city, Bacolod City, with its 61 barangays, holds separate elections for its local leaders and does not participate in voting for provincial candidates during local or national elections./PN
