BACOLOD City – The Sangguniang Panlalawigan (SP) of Negros Occidental approved a P15-million budget for the gratuity pay of provincial government job order (JO) and contract of service (CoS) employees.
Acting governor Vice Gov. Jeffrey Ferrer said the gratuity pay of JO and CoS workers would depend on their length of service but with P5,000 as maximum amount.
Those who have only served for about a month or less than two months would receive P2,000.
The provincial government currently employs 1,735 JO and CoS workers.
Prior to traveling to Singapore, Gov. Eugenio Jose Lacson handed over rice and food packs to JO and CoS workers.
Ferrer will be the acting governor of the province until Jan. 3, 2023.
Lacson in Executive Order No. 22-65, Series of 2022 said the designation of Ferrer is due to his leave of absence./PN
