BACOLOD City – The provincial government plans to adopt Taiwan’s agricultural technology aimed to help farmers in Negros Occidental.
Provincial agriculturist Japhet Masculino said this development will help local farmers to produce and export high-quality products to other countries in the future.
He conveyed this during the Philippine-Taiwan Agriculture Forum held in Bacolod City.
According to Masculino, the forum was meant to foster partnership and enterprise for agricultural development benefiting the homegrown farmers.
Governor Alfredo Marañon Jr., meanwhile said it was another breakthrough for the province, knowing that more young farmers in Taiwan have excelled in farming.
Taiwan delegation leader and adviser of Safe and Modern Agriculture Technology Promotion Society Dr. Wang Chun-Hsiung also shared their best practices in agriculture involving young Taiwanese farmers. (With a report from PIA/PN)
