BACOLOD City – The 11th Negros Island Organic Farmers Festival will be held from Nov. 15 to 19 at the Negros First CyberCentre.
This year’s celebration has the theme “Getting Connected through Regenerative Organic Agriculture.”
Organic products and byproducts, and innovations and technologies by farmer-producers and advocates will be showcased through exhibits.
Symposiums with international and local speakers on the following topics will be held, too: Global Opportunities in Organic Agriculture, Agri-Tourism, Edible Landscaping, Organic Food Processing, Natural Growing, Biological System, Maximizing Fruit Crop Yield with Bee Pollination, Role of Women and Youth in Organic Agriculture, and Major Pests and Diseases.
Thousands of organic agriculture advocates, entrepreneurs, farmers/producers, exhibitors, consumers, and members of the academe from across the region are expected to join the activities.
Invited to the occasion are Sen. Cynthia Villar and Department of Agriculture’s secretary Emmanuel Piñol and undersecretary Evelyn Laviña./PN
