BACOLOD City – Negros Occidental’s Vice Gov. Jeffrey Ferrer has shrugged off reports that he would run for vice mayor here in next year’s election.
According to Ferrer, if he had plans, he would have already transferred his voter’s registration here by May 8.
Ferrer said he is already the second highest elected position in the province, and he “doesn’t want to waste the opportunity of serving the public.”
The vice governor confirmed he will seek re-election in 2022, alongside incumbent Gov. Eugenio Jose Lacson.
Ferrer’s name was earlier floated as a possible candidate for vice mayor in Bacolod City. It was also assumed that he may run with possible mayoralty candidate Alfredo “Albee” Benitez./PN
