ILOILO City – Police arrested a man tagged as the most wanted person in the province of Negros Occidental.
The 40-year-old Antonio Abelita Jr. was caught Monday around 1:30 p.m. in Barangay Bolo, Carles, Iloilo, a police report showed.
Abelita was facing five counts of rape charges, police said.
His apprehension was staged on the strength of an arrest warrant issued by Judge Mila Yap-Camiso of the Regional Trial Court Branch 74 in Negros Occidental.
The suspect was detained in the lockup cell of Carles municipal police station./PN
