Negrense, Ilonggo jins in 2020 nat’l taekwondo team

MANILA – Negrense and Ilonggo taekwondo jins earned the qualification to be part of next year’s national team poomsae and kyorugi training pool.

Four Negros Taekwondo Union-Tigers New Gen taekwondo jins in Bacolod City native Jamie Hannah Agaloos, Jean Pierre Sabido and Ceanne Kyle Rosquillo qualified to the national poomsae team.

Meanwhile, those who qualified in the sparring team were NTU-Tigers standouts Julio Miguel Zapata, Leigh Andee Rodriguez and Marielle Aimee Beronio.

From the Iloilo City-based MVP Taekwondo Gym of head coach Denmark Pingol, Sophia Grace Go was named as part of the national kyorugi team pool.

Stablemates’ Cyd Edric Esmaña and Julianna Martha Uy were included in the national team selection for poomsae events.

The Western Visayas-based taekwondo jins were selected following their impressive performances during the national team tryouts held last November in Manila./PN
