MANILA – Negrense guard Mark Nonoy and Vince Deo Cuajao joined the growing list of University of Santo Tomas (UST) men’s basketball players who decided to bolt out of the team following the infamous “Sorsogon Bubble.”
Phenom Sports Management’s Jackson Chua, who handles both Nonoy and Cuajao, said the cagers are set to formalize their commitment with the De La Salle University Green Archers this afternoon.
“It was a hard decision for Mark and Deo to leave UST. They loved the school and the community,” Chua told Panay News. “It was a careful decision because their future is on the line here.”
The La Carlota City, Negros Occidental-native Nonoy bade farewell to the Growling Tigers in a social media post citing UST’s lack of plan for its men’s basketball squad.
On the other hand, Davaoeño Cuajao shared the same sentiment.
Aside from Nonoy and Cuajao, others who left the Growling Tigers were CJ Cansino, Rhenz Abando, Brent Paraiso, Ira Bataller, and Ferdinand Asuncion./PN
