NEGRENSE paddlers showed their way during the Lopue’s -Bacolaodiat Invitational Table Tennis Championship 2019 held recently at the LOPTTA Playing Center, Lopue’s San Sebastian Annex Building in Bacolod City.
James Michael Tancinco captured the 10 and under boys’ division crown after defeating JB John Gaviola in the finals. Juan Muñes, meanwhile, settled for the second runner-up finish.
Jona Mae Gonzales took home the gold in the girls 10 and under category after winning over Ameera Bacomo in the championship round. Sarah Daguia finished with bronze medal.
Dirk Nikhole Atilano claimed the crown in the 13 and under boys category after sweeping his teammate Shaun Rain Jardinico, 3-0 in the finals as Joaquin Bragancia settled for bronze.
Micah Tanate ruled the girls 13 and under division defeating Mariella Mabaquiao in the finals, while Janley Manzanares bagged the men’s open after dominating James Saligumba in the championship round.
In the men’s executive event Garry Trasporto defeated Pastor Allan Tupas in the finals, while Monico Puentevella Jr. settled 2nd runner up.Timon Villanueva took the women’s executive B event by winning over Vanessa Puentevella in the finals.
For the Veterans (60 & Above) event, Felipe Epitacio emerged as the champion after bundling out Rev. Joel Valdez in the gold medal match as Ben Alo finished at third place.
Organized by LOPTTA headed by Dr. Leonito “Diotay” D. Lopue, the 3-day event was participated by paddlers coming from towns of Toboso, Murcia, La Castellana, San Enrique, Moises Padilla and Binalbagan as well as cities of Sagay, Cadiz, Silay, Talisay, La Carlota, and Bacolod./PN
