Negros cops medals in WVPRISAA 2019 athletics, taekwondo

NOPSSCEA secondary athletics team added more medal at the resumption of the Western Visayas Private Schools Athletic Association (WVPRISAA) Meet 2019 competition in Bacolod City.

Antonette Jay Aguillon, Krisha Dedoyco Aguillon, Hannah Jandra Boteros Delotavo, and Bea Delotavo bested their foes to capture the gold in the secondary girls 4×100-meter relay.

Antonette also had a silver in triple jump same with Hannah in the 200-meter dash. The duo, along with Krisha and May Therese Gula also finished with silver in 4×400-meter relay.

Gula, meanwhile, had a silver in 800-meter and bronze in 3000-meter events, while Krisha and Bea added a bronze each in 200-meter run and 400-meter hurdles, respectively.

Jaden Gil Rivera captured his second silver medal by placing second in 80-meter and bronze in 3000-meter, while Joshua Brian Santander took home the bronze medal in 800-meter event.

NOPSSCEA taekwondo athletes, meanwhile, contributed two medals with Mary Angeline Alcantara capturing a gold medal, while Kaizerr Mohamento settling for silver medal.

Gauis Corral of Living Stones International School, on the other hand, also contributed a gold medal for the NOPSSCEA by dominating his event in the secondary boys kata of karatedo./PN
