BACOLOD City – The Teresita Lopez Jalandoni Provincial Hospital (TLJPH) in Silay City, Negros Occidental released an advisory yesterday afternoon, stating that a significant number of their healthcare workers tested positive for coronavirus disease  2019 (COVID-19).

Based on the advisory posted in the official social page of the Provincial Government of Negros Occidental, a number of TLJPH healthcare workers were also forced to undergo quarantine after getting exposed to their patients and watchers.

Because of this, the hospital management announced that it was temporarily suspending services at the OB/Gyne OPD until further notice.

The hospital is also limiting admissions to emergency cases only.

The provincial government urged the public to avoid unnecessary exposure to infection by staying at home and observing at least the minimum precautions.

The hospital management added that COVID-19 vaccination will continue, although they advised individuals to wait for their scheduled time as they do not accept walk-in clients./PN
