Negros Occ. strengthens tourism ties with Taiwan

BACOLOD City Negros Occidental is partnering with the Manila Economic and Cultural Office (MECO) to strengthen the province’s tourism linkages with Taiwan.

Provincial Supervising Tourism Operations officer Christine Mansinares said MECO eyes promotion of Philippine tourism in Taiwan.

“A business-to-business program is being proposed involving our tour operators to closely link us with Taiwan for further tourism exchanges,” said Mansinares on Wednesday.

She added MECO offered to facilitate the participation of the province in the tourism fair and business mission in Taiwan this year.

MECO enables the link between the Philippines and Taiwan through an active cooperation and increased exchanges focused on tourism, investments, labor, and educational and scientific endeavors. (With a report from PNA/PN)
