BACOLOD City – Negros Occidental provincial legal officer Atty. Alberto Nellas Jr. confirmed that Assistant Provincial Administrator Ma. Mina Pellejo has been sacked.
According to Nellas, Pellejo’s dismissal order for alleged grave misconduct and gross neglect of duty was issued on Feb. 24.
Pellejo’s case went way back when she was the head of the Negros Occidental Comprehensive Health Program.
Nellas said Pellejo can appeal the dismissal order.

Both are also facing charges of falsification of official documents and dishonesty, and both have also been issued “show cause orders” last year.
The charges alleged unauthorized alteration of documents.
The investigation report has been submitted to the office of Gov. Eugenio Jose Lacon for the filing of formal charges.
Members of the capitol media tried to reach the three officials for comment, but all three have yet to make a statement as of press time./PN
