ILOILO – A 55-year-old man was shot on the shoulder in Barangay Datagan, Calinog town around 7:30 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 21.
The victim was Arthur Lopez while the suspect was his nephew Danny Lopez, 41; both were residents of Barangay Datagan.
According to Police Major Dadje Delima, chief of the Calinog Municipal Police Station, the two had a long-running conflict.
As of this writing, the police was still determining what gun was used on Arthur.
The victim was initially taken to the Dr. Ricardo S. Provido Sr. Memorial District Hospital but was later referred to the Western Visayas Medical Center in Mandurriao, Iloilo City.
The Calinog police launched a hot pursuit operation against the suspect, who fled after the incident./PN
