ANTIQUE – A nephew stabbed a couple in their sleep in Barangay Inabasan, Sibalom, Antique on Monday, June 26.
Mary Grace Erfe Pamindalan, 48, was brought to the Ramon Maza Sr. Memorial District Hospital.
Her husband, Rudy Abog Pamindalan, 41, was referred to the Angel Salazar Memorial General Hospital in San Jose de Buenavista.
Suspect Tito Abog Seguiente, 33, attacked the couple around 3 a.m. with a 10-inch knife, according to Police Staff Sergeant Lemuel Gillegao of the Sibalom Municipal Police Station (MPS).
The suspect was acting anxious prior, and it was learned that he had not slept well for two to three days. He was alleging that two people were following him.
Gillegao added that the suspect has been under the care of the couple.
To determine if the suspect has a mental problem, the Sibalom MPS will have him undergo a medical examination.
