New challenge of Easter

(Easter Message of Archbishop Jose Romeo Lazo of the Archdiocese of Jaro)

THE “Hallelujah” and the “Gloria” set the tone of Easter. He has risen, giving us life and setting us free. There is much hope brought about by Easter.

Is there hope after Easter? After COVID-19? What kind of life are we going to live post-Easter and post-COVID-19?

Will our life be the same or entirely different? How do you approach and live our work? How will we relate with our community?

Has Easter and COVID-19 affected me in such a way that I am no longer the same as before?

This is the new challenge of Easter. How God has stopped us in the interlocking of events and our faith life. Will there be much faith and joy in the months and years to come?

The Resurrection reminds us of God’s continuous presence in whatever situation we are in.

I greet all of you a joyful and hopeful and meaningful Easter.
